SLIME CARE

SLIME CARE TIPS

With proper care, all slimes can last a few months. We recommend referring to your provided care instructions to prolong the life of your slime.

Always remember, to wash your hands before and after playing with slime, use a clean surface to play with your slime and avoid any debris or bateria from getting into your slime. This will help to keep your slime in a good state for as long as possible.

Slime should be stored in an airtight container and stored in a cool environment. Slime should be frequently reactivated (using your Borax slime activator kit) to avoid your slime from melting.

WHAT IS THE BORAX SLIME ACTIVATOR KIT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Borax slime activator is included in your order. Once the powder is combined with water (as per the instructions), it will create a diluted borax solution. When combined in small amounts to slime, it can assist in maintaining the slime's proper gooey consistance as a result of a chemical reaction.

You should progressively add a few drops of the activator mix to your slime and knead it into your slime until you reach your desired consistency. Don't add too much activator at once as you can over-activate your slime.

If you run out of solution, you can always purchase one of our Slime Care Kits.

Note: always use gloves when handling borax.

HOW DO I FIX STICKY SLIME?

Slime can become sticky in warm weather. We recommend storing it in a cool place. In order to restore your slime to its desired consistency, you should progressively add a few drops of the activator mix to your slime and knead it into your slime until you reach your desired consistency. Don't add too much activator at once as you can over-activate your slime and cause it to become too stiff.

I GOT SLIME ON MY CLOTHES, MY CARPET OR OTHER SURFACES, HOW DO I FIX THIS?

We recommmend a mix of 50/50 while vinegar and cold water to tackle any stubborn stains. Test the solution on a small patch first to ensure that the surface won't be damaged, then spray a small amount of ht esolution onto the stain and use a soft brush to clean the stain away. Finish the job with some paper towel to aborb any remaining liquid.

MY SLIME HAS BECOME STIFF, HOW DO I FIX THIS?

Over time slime can become stiff and hard as a result of cooler weather conditions. There are a few ways to fix this depending on the slime type:

Clear slimes:
Leave your slime in an airtight container and place it in a warm place for a few days. This will allow the slime to soften.

Opaque slimes: Simply add a small amount of gylycerin (from our Slime Care Kit) or unscented lotion to the slime and knead until the slime softens and you reach your desired consistency.
